Let's go differently

They've tried out (and enjoyed!) soft mobility around Serre-Ponçon. Carpooling, cycling, hitchhiking, walking, public transport... There's sure to be one just for you!

Chorges

I take the Zou! bus every morning at 07:30 from Embrun station to get to my job in Chorges. I arrive around 07:50 when there's no traffic jam or roadworks.

Living at altitude with a 350m vertical drop, I never imagined I'd be able to make my journeys other than by car... until Mobility Week, when I was able to try out an electrically-assisted bike to get home. I was amazed at how easy it was to get home: very little effort and only 10 minutes longer than by car. The next day, the trip back to the office took only 2 minutes more than by car! And what a pleasure to do a bit of sport, to travel in the fresh air with a panoramic view!

Since the Mobility Challenge, the rule has been carpooling between colleagues. And when I still have to travel alone and can't take the bus or train, Blablacar Daily, Mobicoop and Rezo Pouce are all activated and available!

Car pooling is a great way to bond and get to know colleagues. As I didn't have the same schedule as my colleagues, I continued to take the bus every day on the way back, which enabled me to observe and appreciate the colors and reflections on the lake, to have a free mind and to take a load off the workday.
