In 2025, the Vaï network supported by the Communauté de communes de Serre-Ponçon passed a symbolic milestone, carrying over 400,000 passengers on all its services.

This momentum is due in particular to the restructuring of the lines serving Embrun, implemented on December1, 2024 in partnership with the town of Embrun. In addition to the city center, the lake and the neighborhoods previously served, two new lines serve the Entraigues business park, the Portes du Lac business park, the car-sharing area and the old Baratier road in Embrun and Baratier. As a result, ridership has risen by 45% in one year, and has even doubled outside the summer period, when the service is traditionally more extensive. Over one year, from December1, 2024 to November 30, 2025, 108,212 people used the new lines.

Winter services to and from resorts also confirmed their appeal. At Les Orres, the Vaï lines carried 285,000 passengers in 2025. Shuttle services to Crévoux and Réallon are also showing encouraging growth: 2,985 passengers in 2025 compared with 2,436 in 2024 for the former, and 2,182 passengers in 2025 compared with 1,235 in 2024 for the latter.

Last but not least, the Vaï summer shuttle service from Chorges to Chanteloube Bay is also up, with 6,730 passengers in 2025, compared with 6,321 in 2024, and 2,273 when it was launched in the summer of 2022.
